1. Pump Default Setting
It works in Normally Closed (NC) mode. If it’s in Normally Open (NO), switch it back to NC for proper operation.
2.How to know the Current Mode? After power on the pump, look at the LEDs:
NC Mode: Green stays on; blue and red light up for 2 seconds, then turn off.
NO Mode: Green stays on; blue and red blink alternately for 2 seconds, then turn off.
3. Change the Mode:
To NO Mode: Hold the Test button for 6 seconds. Blue and red will blink for 2 seconds, then turn off.
To NC Mode: Hold the Test button for 6 seconds again. Blue and red will light up for 2 seconds, then turn off.

Do not use to pump flammable or explosive fluids.
Do not handle pump with wet hands or when standing on a wet or damp surface, or in water.

FAQs

What is a condensate pump used for?

A condensate pump is used to remove water produced by air conditioners, furnaces, and dehumidifiers when gravity drainage is not available.
It helps prevent water overflow, leaks, and moisture damage by automatically moving condensate water from the HVAC system to a proper drain location.

Does it operate automatically?

Yes. Cleartide condensate pumps use a smart probe sensor system that automatically detects water levels.
When water rises, the pump turns on automatically. When water drops, it shuts off to prevent dry running and overflow.
This ensures reliable, hands-free operation for HVAC systems in basements, attics, and other tight installations.

Can it pump water upward?

Yes. Cleartide condensate pumps are designed to lift water up to 27 ft, making them suitable for installations where the drain line is located above or far from the unit.
This allows flexible installation in basements, ceilings, or remote HVAC setups where gravity drainage is not possible.

Is it quiet enough for indoor use?

Yes. The pump uses a water-cooled brushless DC motor designed for ultra-quiet operation at only 25 dB.
It runs quietly enough for bedrooms, offices, basements, and residential HVAC environments without disturbing daily activities.

Does it include a safety shutoff?

Yes. The pump includes an automatic safety shutoff system controlled by its smart probe sensor.
When abnormal water levels are detected or the tank reaches its limit, the system stops operation to prevent overflow and protect the HVAC equipment.
Built-in protection features also include dry-run protection, overload protection, and overheat protection for long-term safe operation.

How often should it be cleaned?

Maintenance depends on installation environment, but in normal HVAC use, only occasional cleaning is required.
The built-in micron-level filter helps prevent debris from entering the pump, reducing clogging risk.
For long-term performance, periodic inspection and simple cleaning of the inlet filter and valve are recommended.
